This policy applies to the Mergeon iPhone app and the informational website at mergeon.wolel.com.

1. Information you provide

Mergeon lets you enter content such as prompts, chat messages, provider settings, model selections, attachment choices, and optional API credentials for external AI providers.

这些信息主要用于完成你主动发起的 AI 请求、保存本地会话状态，以及在你返回应用时恢复你的工作流。

2. Where your data is stored

Chat history, session settings, app preferences, model lists, and local media files are stored on your device. User-entered API keys are stored in Apple Keychain on the device.

Mergeon does not require a Mergeon-hosted account for core usage and does not force cloud sync for your local conversations.

3. How AI requests are handled

When you send a message, generate an image, synthesize speech, or submit other supported tasks, the selected content is sent directly from your device to the external AI provider you configured.

Core chat generation requests are not routed through a Mergeon relay server. The provider you choose may process data according to its own privacy terms.

4. Attachments and permissions

Mergeon may request access to your photo library when you choose to send images or videos, or when you save media back to your library. Files you choose to import can also be copied into the app’s local storage to support conversation context.

  • Photo library access is only used for media you choose to select or save.
  • Imported files are stored locally unless you export them yourself.
  • Attachments are only sent to an external provider when you actively include them in a request.

5. What Mergeon does not do

  • Mergeon does not sell your personal data.
  • Mergeon does not require advertising trackers to use the core app.
  • Mergeon does not force cloud backup of your chats.
  • Mergeon does not publish your API keys or conversation content as public data.

6. Backup, export, and deletion

You may choose to export a backup from inside the app. Exported backups are created only when you initiate them. You can also remove saved provider credentials and clear all local app data from the settings area.

删除本地数据后，设备上的聊天记录、设置和缓存媒体将被清除；已经发送给第三方 AI 服务商的内容，需要遵循对应服务商的处理规则。

7. Children’s privacy

Mergeon is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children through a separate account system. If a parent or guardian believes a child submitted personal information through app usage, stop using the feature and remove the local data from the device.

8. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when product behavior changes, legal requirements change, or new features are released. The latest version will be published at this page.
